STANDARDS FOR OUR PASTORAL TEAM

For Professional Courtesy in the Pulpit, CTTCM believes
The pulpit is never be used as a battleground, or to correct the behaviour of any one individual. (see 2 Tim. 2:24-25) Here at CTTCM it is considered a general courtesy for preachers to listen to other preachers when they speak.

Motives for Ministry
Our reasons for aspiring to a ministry position is to put God’s will above our own. (Matt. 26:42) The pastors here at CTTCM submit to Godly church leadership, and endure God’s building process to enable us to carry the anointing (gifts + Christ like character = power) that He has placed on our lives. (1 Tim. 3:6).

Starting Points for All Pastors in Christ the true covenant ministry worldwide
We believe in looking past the mistakes of others as we would have them to do ours. We believe that the relationships between ministers must be sound as there is a direct relationship between the life of the minister and his or her relationships with other ministers, laity, and even unbelievers. Therefore, our starting point for ministerial ethics is found in being BORN AGAIN. As ministers, are grouped together in the eyes of the public, we believe ministers Must Respect the ministries (and pulpits) of others, by staying out of the internal affairs of other churches and never perceive another minister as a threat to one’s ministry.
We believe in upholding brotherly and sisterly lines with one and other, showing respect, professional and courtesy. No Pastor in Christ the true covenant ministry is allowed or to be seen quarrelling or exchanging confrontational words with each other in front of the congregation, so if there are any grievances between any of the pastors, such case is brought forward to the pastoral council for a proper hearing.

All pastors in CTTCM, understand that they are employees of the ministry, and are subject to go on transfer to any of the branches either on a short period or long-term transfer or sent on a mission field to open a new branch without questioning the decision.
For spiritual purpose and for the spiritual growth of the congregation, there is always a quarterly change of pulpit where a pastor from one branch will be sent to another branch.

No pastor in Christ the true covenant ministry is self-involved in any church money, as the project committees are responsible for raising funds for any project in the branches.

STANDARDS FOR OUR ORDAINED MINISTERS

Responsibilities of the ordained ministers
Ordained Ministers that serve in CTTCM branches are responsible for leading, directing, facilitating and coordinating the work of others in the ministry.
They have a diverse range of responsibilities in the ministry which are reflected in various functional titles. Examples of functional titles include worship ministry leader, youth ministry worker, women’s ministry worker, head usher, etc.
The Ordained Ministers at CTTCM also stand in for the pastors when they are not available.

We believe that as noted in (1 Timothy 3:8-13). Specific responsibilities for an ordained minister include spiritual maturity; willingness and availability to serve; CTTCM membership in good standing (which involves consistency in attendance, giving and serving); and recognised leadership ability; spiritual giftedness and skill (or willingness to learn) in the area(s) of anticipated service.
